Design leader working with early stage teams & technology
Stadia Store
Design lead @Google, 2018 - 2021
Stadia is more than just a new way to play games, it opens up entirely new business models and ways of acquiring games. I led design for our entire commerce platform which encompasses all ways that Stadia made money. The bulk of this initiative was the Stadia store, an ecommerce platform where users discovered and purchased games.
Stadia Controller & input

The first project I took on when I joined Stadia was the development of the Stadia controller. I co-invented the method that the Stadia controller users to link with different screens. I also developed the physical UX patterns for haptics, LEDs, button usage and iconography. In addition I lead UX for all input related features across Stadia.
Stadia Pro
Design lead @Google, 2018 - 2021
We created Stadia Pro to be the best way to use Stadia. It is a subscription offering that gives members access to 4k gaming and free games each month. Creating it required extensive user and market research. Beyond definition, Stadia Pro required deep integration and changes across a number of Stadia systems.
Stadia Growth and User Acquisition
Design lead @Google, 2018 - 2021
Stadia is an amazing technology but that alone doesn’t guarantee success. I was the design lead for growth and user acquisition on Stadia. That role required me to develop and ship ideas that would meaningfully grow Stadia’s user base. I developed and designed flows, features and promotions that acquired well over 90% of Stadia’s user base.
Tabletop Titans
Founder @Tabletop Titans, 2018 - Present
I’m an avid game player and collector who has played thousands of games. The only game I’ve played continuously since my childhood is Warhammer. My passion for this game and its community drove me to give something back. I started a YouTube channel to produce high quality content on how to play the game. It has been a huge success with over a million monthly views, 90k+ subscribers and tens of thousands of live viewers each week. Along the way I’ve learned a lot about managing a YouTube channel, live streaming and community management.
Google Daydream OS
Design lead @Google, 2016 - 2017
I joined Google to work on VR and the first product I worked on was Daydream. I was a design lead on the core Daydream experience along with several launch applications. I'm really proud of the work we did on Daydream and many of the core UX ideas we developed there have gone on to be foundational to the VR industry.
Daydream Environments
Design lead @Google, 2016 - 2017
I developed the guidelines and design principles for VR envrionments at Google. As a part of this project I lead design for our first round of envrionments in Daydreams launch applications. I also gave a presentation at Google I/O for 3rd party developers.
Daydream Avatars & Social apps
Design lead & Project founder @Google, - 2017
Shortly after launching the first version of Daydream we started looking at what was next. The most powerful VR experiences I’ve ever had were all social applications and I thought this was a largely unexplored space that we should invest heavily in. I created several proposals and lobbied for support to start a large effort around social VR.
Play Store & Play Movies VR apps
Design lead - 2016
I was the lead designer on both the Daydream version of the Play Movies and Play Store apps. The store was one of our most information and UI dense VR applications. It was the most challenging VR app I’ve ever worked on and I’m really proud of how it came together.
Tim Hortons & Google
Experimental design @TWG - 2015
I was approached by Google Canada to collaborate on an exciting vision for the future of restaurant ordering. Together with Tim Hortons, we created an amazing prototype for this Pre-Order application. Users can order and pay in advance and pick up their food in store with no lines. Users can also make voice orders or save their preferences for automatic ordering.
Yellow Pages
Product Design & Creative Director - 2014
Since creating Mapitat in 2012, I've been hooked on designing real estate technology. Based on my previous experience, I was hired to lead product design for Yellow Pages and its Renters Guide product. I put every idea I had been working on for several years into a big vision, something which I am excited to see is continuously becoming reality.
Swappz Interactive
Co-Creator, Advisor - 2013
Swappz was an unforgettable chapter of my life. I was hired to develop a concept for the future of toys. I quickly settled on an idea that paired action figures with mobile games through amazing 3D scanning and AR technology. I created and helped sell original game concepts to brands like, Nickelodeon, Sony Pictures and Hasbro.
